Lyric Poetry

I grew up off 97 QMG (97.1) In the cut of the city (The Lost North) Called Greensboro, NC

We rode home (I love you momma) Late night Listening to R&B and Soul off that Quiet Storm

Uh

Back when tracks had feelings I even listened to rock, a little pop Before I got put onto Hip Hop

I turned stanzas To verses Back then instrumentals were worthless

Call me an acappella lyricist This talent I was born with before I ever used standard metaphors or synonyms I figured then I’d make it biiig

All in my subconscious, living day by day So aware of this place that holds oxygen Off energy and water is how we breathe

Living natural in a world that’s so extraordinary
